TabLint - Sort & Clean Up Tabs
Overview
Sort tabs by URL, close duplicate tabs, and close merged GitHub PR tabs.
TabLint cleans up the current browser window with one click - like a linter for your tabs: it sorts what is out of order, removes duplicates, and deletes dead tabs. FEATURES - Sort tabs by URL: unpinned tabs are sorted by website and URL ("www." and the http/https scheme are ignored, so tabs of the same site stay together), then title. Sorting runs independently inside each tab group and inside each ungrouped segment, so your groups stay intact. - Group by website (optional): when enough tabs point to the same website, they are collected into a named tab group such as "github.com". Tabs for a site that already has a group join the existing group. - Sort groups (optional): tab groups are ordered by name. - Close duplicates (optional): keeps the first tab for each URL and closes later copies. Fragments (#section) and default ports are ignored when comparing. - Close merged GitHub PRs (optional): checks open GitHub pull request tabs and closes the ones whose page shows a Merged state. Open, draft, closed-unmerged, or unverifiable tabs are always left open. Works with private repositories because it reads the page already open in your browser - no API tokens needed. SAFE BY DESIGN - Pinned tabs are never moved behind other tabs and never closed. - Only the current window is touched. - Everything runs locally. The extension collects no data, has no server, and only ever talks to github.com - to re-check the state of PR tabs when you enable that option. Options are remembered between uses. Set the group threshold to 0 to disable website grouping.
