Overview

Enhances GitHub Actions workflow dispatch forms with advanced JSON Forms validation and UI schema support.

Advanced Actions Invoker makes manual GitHub Actions workflows easier to configure and run with structured forms and input validation. Define your form using JSON Schema, a UI layout, and default values in your workflow_dispatch inputs. The extension reads that configuration on GitHub and displays an enhanced form that keeps GitHub’s workflow inputs in sync. FEATURES • Schema-driven controls for workflow inputs • Dropdowns, checkboxes, and multi-select checkbox lists • Validation feedback before running a workflow • Support for GitHub’s page navigation • Native GitHub inputs remain available when the required configuration is missing • An extension popup with workflow status and an enable/disable switch GETTING STARTED 1. Create your form with the Advanced Actions Invoker Composer. 2. Add the generated schema, layout, and data inputs to your GitHub Actions workflow. 3. Open the workflow’s Actions page and select Run workflow. 4. Complete the enhanced form, resolve any validation errors, and run your workflow. Designed for deployment forms, release workflows, environment selection, and other manual workflows that need clear, validated inputs. PRIVACY Workflow form processing happens locally in your browser. The extension has no analytics or tracking and does not send workflow content to a separate collection service. Your inputs are submitted to GitHub through its normal workflow submission process when you run a workflow. The extension saves your enable/disable preference locally.
