Claude Chat Folders

Organize Claude chats into collapsible folders. Add chats in bulk, rename folders and change their order.

With your Claude chat history growing, finding frequently used conversations is becoming increasingly difficult? Organize chats from the same project into folders to make your sidebar clearer. Claude chat logs are grouped into claude.ai, and nameable, collapsible chat folders are added. The interface remains simple: create the folders first, then add the chats you need into them. Click the expand icon, create a new folder and enter a name. Open the folder, click "Add to Chat," search for titles and select multiple chats to organize them all at once. Chats from other folders will display their original groups; confirm and move them to the current folder. In the Claude sidebar, click on a folder to expand or collapse it, and click on a chat within it to open it. The collapsed state of each folder is saved separately, keeping the project you are currently using visible. The "More" menu for folders offers options to rename, move up, move down, and delete, as well as batch add, collapse, rename, and sort. You can adjust the display order of folders and move individual chats out of folders. Deleting a folder only removes the local group and does not delete the original chats in Claude. Groups and chat directories are saved in the current browser, separately for each Claude workspace. The extension reads chat titles, session identifiers, and update times to organize the directory, but does not read the chat content or upload the chat directory or folder names to the developer. Supports Chrome 127 and later, and offers the interface in 55 languages. Folders will not sync across devices, and uninstalling the extension will delete local groups. The extension is open-source and secure on GitHub. Chat directory reading is affected by the Claude web interface and page redesign; if the interface is unavailable, the extension will retain existing data and attempt to read chats already loaded on the page.
