Requires the Artifex desktop accelerator This extension contains no model of its own. Every video is judged on your own machine by the Artifex desktop accelerator, currently available for Windows from the Star Time Electronics website, with a Microsoft Store release planned. While the accelerator is not connected, Artifex analyses nothing and hides nothing; the popup says so rather than guessing. A human-curated blacklist and whitelist are maintained on our server and synced every six hours. A channel on the blacklist is hidden immediately, without running the model; a channel on the whitelist is always shown and outranks the model. Coverage of Chinese-language channels is currently the most complete. 2. Local model. For everything else, Artifex can capture videos, and passes them over Chrome native messaging to the desktop accelerator, which runs them through OpenVINO (Intel NPU, integrated graphics or Arc) or DirectML (any DX12 GPU). How videos are hidden Remove: the card drops out of the layout and the remaining cards close the gap. Placeholder: the card is covered by a note with a Show button, so you can bring it back at any time. Home, search results, the watch page sidebar, playlists, channel pages and Shorts shelves are all covered. Reporting Right-click anywhere on YouTube to open the Artifex menu and report one of three things: this video is AI-generated, this whole channel is AI-generated, or this one was hidden by mistake. Reports go through human review before anything reaches a list. Privacy Nothing leaves your computer during detection. Frames only travel to the desktop accelerator running on the same machine. Only when you choose to send a report do we receive that report's video ID, title, channel and page URL, together with the vote count, model version, extension version, interface language and a randomly generated install identifier. The identifier exists purely for de-duplication, so that repeated reports about the same target from the same device within seven days produce a single notification.
