Connects this Chrome profile to the Galatea desktop companion and optional shared chat.

Bring the web into your conversation with Galatea. Galatea Companion connects Chrome to Galatea Desktop on your Mac, helping your companion understand the pages you’re working with and assist you directly. With Galatea Companion, you can: - See how many tabs are open and find a specific page. - Read and discuss webpage content. - Open new pages or return to an existing tab. - Fill ordinary forms and check the values without submitting. - Continue the same conversation in Galatea Desktop and Chrome’s side panel. You choose what Galatea may read or do. Browser features require access to ordinary HTTP and HTTPS pages. Requested page content may be processed by your Galatea installation and its configured AI provider. Side-panel conversations use your selected Galatea server. Chrome-protected pages and some embedded content are unavailable. Passwords and sensitive authentication fields are excluded from form filling. Requires Google Chrome 116 or newer, a compatible Galatea Desktop installation on macOS, and a Galatea account. Connect Chrome through Galatea Desktop, then sign in to the side panel to continue your conversation.
