Gainly – Volume Booster & Equalizer
1 rating
)Overview
Boost volume up to 600% on any tab, with equalizer and bass boost. Fullscreen keeps working. No ads, no tracking.
Gainly boosts the volume of any tab up to 600% and lets you shape the sound with a built-in equalizer. Unlike most volume boosters, fullscreen video keeps working normally and no "tab is being shared" indicator appears. WHY GAINLY • Fullscreen stays fullscreen: Gainly processes the page's own audio instead of capturing the whole tab. • Clean sound at high volume: a built-in limiter keeps boosted audio from clipping and crackling. • Fine control: 1% steps, a slider with extra precision between 0% and 200%, quick presets, mouse wheel and keyboard. • Every tab in one place: see and adjust all tabs playing audio from a single popup. • Private by design: no ads, no tracking, no analytics. Nothing leaves your browser. • Open source (MIT license). FEATURES • Volume from 0% to 600%, separately for each tab • 3-band equalizer with Flat, Voice, Bass and Treble presets: voice boost for dialogue and podcasts, bass boost for music • Limiter that prevents distortion while boosting • Mono mode for listening with one earbud • Remember the volume for each site • Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+Up / Alt+Shift+Down to change the volume, Alt+Shift+M to mute • Light, dark and system themes • English and Turkish CAPTURE MODE FOR PROTECTED AUDIO Some sites play DRM-protected audio, or stream it from another domain in a way Chrome doesn't let extensions process directly. On those pages Gainly offers capture mode with one click. While capture mode is on, Chrome keeps fullscreen inside the window and shows a sharing icon. This is a Chrome limitation, and Gainly tells you when capture mode is active. PERMISSIONS Gainly installs with no permission warnings. It can optionally ask for access to all sites, which lets it keep your volume after a page reloads, apply remembered sites automatically, and control other tabs from the popup. Everything else works without it. A WORD OF CAUTION Very high volume can damage your hearing and small speakers. Start low and raise it gradually.
