Instead of landing on a preview page, direct links let browsers, download managers, and scripts fetch files immediately with no extra clicks or redirects. Every Google Drive share URL looks like: https://drive.google.com/file/d/{FILE_ID}/view?usp=sharing G-Direct converts it to: https://drive.google.com/uc?export=download&id={FILE_ID} ⚡ Instant Conversion: Converts as you type — no button press needed. The moment a valid Google Drive URL is detected, the direct link appears immediately below the divider. 🔢 Single & Bulk Modes: The Single tab converts one link at a time. The Bulk tab accepts any number of links (one per line) and converts them all, displaying results as a numbered list. You can paste multiple times — new links are appended and the input scrolls automatically to show the latest additions. 🔁 Duplicate Detection: In Bulk mode, duplicate input links are silently removed and a yellow warning chip shows how many were skipped. In Single mode, copying a link already saved in history skips the save and notifies you instead of creating a duplicate entry. 🖱️ Clickable Links: Every converted link is clickable directly in the output. Hovering underlines it and shifts it to accent color — clicking opens the direct download in a new tab. 📥 Download All: In Bulk mode, a Download All button opens every converted link in background tabs simultaneously — ideal for batch downloading multiple files at once. 💾 Auto-Save on Copy: No separate save step. History is saved automatically the moment you click the copy button on any converted link. In Bulk mode, copying an individual link saves just that link; clicking Copy All saves the entire batch as one history entry. 📚 Per-Tab History: History is kept separately for Single and Bulk tabs. Each entry shows the full converted URL and a relative timestamp — just now, 5 mins ago, yesterday, or a date for older entries. 📌 Pin Important Entries: Click the pin icon on any entry to pin it. Pinned entries float to the top, are never pushed out by the history limit, and survive "Clear all". They stay until you manually unpin or delete them individually. A colored left stripe marks pinned entries visually. 🗑️ Individual Delete: Each history entry has its own delete button that removes it with a smooth fade-out animation, without touching the rest of the history. 🔄 Load from History: Clicking a history entry restores both the original input URL(s) and the converted output simultaneously — everything is back exactly as it was when you saved it. 🔢 Configurable History Limit: Set exactly how many entries to keep per tab (1–100, default 10). The limit applies only to unpinned entries. Changing the number immediately trims existing history if needed. 🧹 Clear All: Clear all removes only unpinned entries. Pinned entries remain in place. A toast notification tells you how many pinned entries were kept. 💾 Session Restore: Your last input is remembered between sessions. Reopen the extension and everything is exactly as you left it — no need to re-paste your links. 🌙 Light & Dark Theme: Full dark mode with a toggle in the toolbar. The theme persists across sessions and applies consistently to every UI element including scrollbars. ⌨️ Keyboard Shortcut: Open G-Direct from anywhere, no need to click the toolbar icon. The shortcut can be changed at chrome://extensions/shortcuts. 🔏 Privacy: G-Direct runs entirely locally. It makes no network requests, collects no data, and communicates with no external servers. Everything — history, settings, session — lives in your browser's localStorage and never leaves your device. The only permissions requested are clipboard access (to read and write links) and storage (to persist history and preferences).
