G-Code Analyzer is a secure, local, and powerful Chrome Extension designed to visualize, inspect, and analyze 3D printer and CNC G-code files directly in your web browser. Whether you are a 3D printing enthusiast, a CNC machinist, a mechanical engineer, or a rapid prototyping professional, G-Code Analyzer provides the exact tools you need to verify toolpaths, check print speeds, estimate materials, and debug your G-code before sending it to physical hardware. --- 💡 KEY FEATURES 🔒 100% Local & Private Your designs remain your own. G-Code Analyzer runs entirely inside your browser sandbox and works completely offline. Your G-code files are parsed locally on your machine and are never uploaded to any remote servers. 🎨 Interactive 2D Layer Visualizer Inspect your toolpath layer-by-layer with detailed animations: • Speed mapping: View print, move, and retraction speeds in distinct color schemes. • Overlay views: Display two adjacent layers simultaneously to check overhangs and structural integrity. • Print sequence animation: Play back the nozzle's exact printing sequence for single layers. • Retraction markers: Visualize restarts and retracts to locate potential stringing zones. 📐 3D Toolpath Renderer Switch to the Three.js-powered 3D viewer to rotate, pan, and inspect the overall physical toolpath in a full three-dimensional space, giving you a better understanding of the finished geometry. 📊 In-Depth Machining Analytics Gain immediate insight into your print metrics: • Time Estimation: Get calculations of print times for the whole file or individual layers. • Material Usage: Measure the exact volume and weight of plastic needed. • Cost Calculation: Input hourly operating costs and filament price per gram to calculate the total price of your print. • Auto-Detection: Automatically parses nozzle and filament diameters from file headers. 💻 Code-to-Path Referencing Sync your visual paths to the raw G-code. Click on any segment of the 2D visualization to immediately jump to and highlight the corresponding lines in the raw G-code text editor (powered by CodeMirror). --- 🛠️ HOW TO USE 1. Click the G-Code Analyzer extension icon in your toolbar to open the workspace in a new tab. 2. Drag and drop any ".gcode" file into the workspace, or use the file selector to load your code. 3. Use the sidebar controls to toggle render options (speeds, retractions, transparency, volumetric E) and customize your printer settings (nozzle size, filament cost, hourly rate). 4.
