Fylane — fix files before upload

When a website rejects your file, Fylane fixes it right in the form — locally and privately, on sites you choose.

Every upload form has rules — PDF only, under 2 MB, at least 800×600 — and every one of us has lost ten minutes to "Invalid file." Fylane watches the file inputs on sites where you turn it on. It works out what each form actually requires: from the form's own accept attribute, from the page's stated rules, and — when a site rejects a file — from the site's own error message, which Fylane remembers for next time. When your file breaks those rules, a small sheet appears and offers the fix: convert, resize, or compress, right there on your device, and the fixed file lands back in the form as if you'd picked it. What Fylane will NOT do: - Guess. With no evidence of a form's rules, it stays silent. - Interrupt. A file that already fits passes through untouched — you never see Fylane at all. - Read your files or your pages. Simple fixes run on your device. Fixes that need more (Office-to-PDF, scans) run through Fylane Cloud right in the same small sheet — and your file is uploaded only after you choose "Fix with Fylane Cloud" on a card that says exactly that. - Track you. Fylane sends anonymous usage events — what kind of fix was offered, taken, finished or failed, and how long it took — so we can see what fails and build what is missing. Never a file, a file name, page text or a site name; a random id that changes every day. One switch in the popup turns it off. A second switch, off unless you turn it on, adds the site's domain and its own rejection sentence so the next person on that site is not rejected. - Run everywhere by default. You arm Fylane per site from its icon; "run everywhere" is a choice, never a default. Sites that integrate Fylane natively (@fylane/smart-input) keep their own integration — the extension detects it and stands down.
