Fylane — fix files before upload

Keep your resume, cover letter and photo once — fill any upload form in one tap. Convert, resize and compress in the form.

For the job application that wants a resume, a cover letter and a photo. For the visa form that takes only a square JPEG under 240 KB. For the portal that says "file too large" and nothing else. Every upload form has rules — PDF only, under 2 MB, at least 800×600 — and every one of us has lost ten minutes to "Invalid file." Fylane watches the file inputs on sites where you turn it on. It works out what each form actually requires: from the form's own accept attribute, from the page's stated rules, and — when a site rejects a file — from the site's own error message, which Fylane remembers for next time. When your file breaks those rules, a small sheet appears and offers the fix: convert, resize, or compress, right there on your device, and the fixed file lands back in the form as if you'd picked it. NEW — Your files: keep one, fill the whole form. After a file lands in a form, Fylane can ask to keep it for the next one: your résumé, a cover letter, a headshot, a passport photo, an ID scan, a logo. Kept files stay on this device, encrypted. On the next site that asks for the same kind of file, one card offers to fill every matching field at once, each file fitted to that form's rules on the way in — the résumé as it is, the photo cropped and sized, the DOCX turned into the PDF that form takes — and places nothing until you tap. Lock your files with Touch ID (a passkey) or a passphrase; ID documents and proofs of address are locked by default. Forget any file, or all of them, from the popup. Nothing about your files is ever sent anywhere. Before a fix, a preview shows what will be uploaded and offers quick adjustments right there: rotate, crop to the form's ratio, blur a face or an address, pick a format and quality with the resulting size shown live, keep just the pages a form takes from a longer PDF or add pages from another file, or pick the file inside a ZIP. And when a form's picker only lets one format through, so your file is greyed out before you can even choose it, a card offers to take any file and convert it. All of it on your device. What Fylane will NOT do: - Guess. With no evidence of a form's rules, it stays silent. - Interrupt. A file that already fits passes through untouched — you never see Fylane at all. - Place a file on its own. Nothing from your files reaches a form until you tap the card. - Read your files or your pages. Simple fixes run on your device. Fixes that need more (Office-to-PDF, scans) run through Fylane Cloud right in the same small sheet — and your file is uploaded only after you choose "Fix with Fylane Cloud" on a card that says exactly that. - Track you. Fylane sends anonymous usage events — what kind of fix was offered, taken, finished or failed, and how long it took — so we can see what fails and build what is missing. Never a file, a file name, page text or a site name; a random id that changes every day. One switch in the popup turns it off. A second switch, off unless you turn it on, adds the site's domain and its own rejection sentence so the next person on that site is not rejected. - Run everywhere by default. You arm Fylane per site from its icon; "run everywhere" is a choice, never a default. Sites that integrate Fylane natively (@fylane/smart-input) keep their own integration — the extension detects it and stands down.
