FunFab Substack Connector
Overview
Connect one selected Substack Live to your FunFab game. Viewers play in chat; creators control the connection.
Run supported FunFab chat games during your Substack Live. Only the creator installs this extension; viewers participate through the Live chat they already use. Choose Substack Live in your game's setup guide. The panel checks that the connector is installed, opens a chooser for your current Live, and asks for a fresh viewer test input before enabling play. Capture, board connection and accepted game input have separate status indicators. You control which Live is read. The connector ignores existing chat when it starts, sends new chat display names and messages through Social Stream Ninja to the connected game, and stops when you disconnect or leave the selected Live. It does not post messages, start broadcasts, read passwords or cookies, or run game rules. Requires desktop Chrome 116+, a supported FunFab game, and a Substack account able to host a Live. Keep your studio open in the same Chrome profile. Substack audience/chat restrictions still apply. Custom publication domains are not supported. Hot Seat uses separate private player pages and does not need this connector. Early access: test a viewer's input before each show. This is an independent FunFab integration, not an official Substack product.
