FullPageShot captures a full-page screenshot of your current Chrome tab, top to bottom, as a single PNG. One keyboard shortcut or one click on the toolbar button, and it's saved. It works on the live tab you are looking at, including pages behind your login, using Chrome's own DevTools capture. New in 2.4 - Choose where captures are saved: your Downloads folder, a subfolder of Downloads, or ask every time. - Optionally copy the saved file's path to your clipboard. - Automatic file names based on the site, page address, date, and time. Why we built it We just wanted to take a screenshot of a whole page. After trying several extensions, we were still dealing with failed captures, screenshots that stopped halfway down, and tools that were slow to start. One extension was abandoned, so its bugs stayed. Another was removed from the Chrome Web Store for sending out user data. Eventually, we decided to build our own. The capture tool we wanted was already in Chrome's DevTools. It worked well, but taking a screenshot meant five or six clicks. FullPageShot makes it a single keypress. The optional "Copy file path to clipboard" setting came from our development workflow, too. When working with a coding agent or LLM chat that can access local files, we can paste the screenshot's path to show the page as it looks at that moment. It's a small thing, but useful when explaining what needs fixing. Privacy and trust - No tracking, no analytics, no remote code, no screenshot uploads. - Open source (GPL-3.0-or-later). You can read the whole extension end to end. - No host permissions. Preparing a capture may make the page load images it had not loaded yet. - Your settings are stored in Chrome and may sync across your devices if Chrome sync is on. - Permissions: debugger (to prepare and capture the full page), downloads (to save the PNG), storage (to remember your settings), and offscreen plus clipboardWrite (used only if you turn on copying the file path). - Chrome shows a short "started debugging this browser" banner during each capture. Settings Right-click the toolbar icon and choose Options, or open the extension's Details page and choose Extension options. - Capture mode: Faithful (default) keeps carousels on the slide you see. Everything expands large carousels and sliders to include more content, so the image can be wider than the live page. - Save location: Downloads folder (default), a subfolder of Downloads, or ask every time. - Copy file path to clipboard after saving. It copies the path, not the image. Off by default. Note: if Chrome's own "Ask where to save each file before downloading" setting is on, Chrome may still show its save dialog. Keyboard shortcut - Default: Ctrl+Shift+Y on Windows and Linux, or Command+Shift+Y on Mac. - If it is not set, or to change it, go to chrome://extensions/shortcuts. Good to know - Handles lazy-loaded images and most layouts where the page or a large inner panel scrolls. - Very long pages are scaled down to fit one complete image. - Some pages cannot be captured whole: virtualized or infinite-scroll feeds, some editor preview shells, and lazy content inside embedded frames. - Chrome's internal pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be captured. - Requires Chrome 118 or later.
