Overview

Capture full pages, move and resize annotations, blur private details, and export PNG, JPG, WebP or PDF. Free, no watermark.

Capture full-page screenshots, annotate what matters, and share clear feedback without an account or watermark. Web Tools Planet combines a screenshot editor with a built-in Visual Inspector for design reviews, bug reports, support guides, and research. Capturing, editing, and exporting happen locally in your browser. **Capture what you need** - Full page: scroll and stitch a web page, including content below the fold. - Visible or selected area: save the current view or choose a precise rectangle. - Element: capture a fully visible card, chart, image, or other page element. - Scrolling panel: capture hidden vertical content in a selected chat or dashboard panel. - Embedded iframe: capture a scrollable frame on request. Chrome may ask for optional site access. **Edit annotations after placing them** - Select, move, and resize annotations to refine your feedback. - Add rectangles, ellipses, lines, arrows, freehand drawings, and editable text. - Highlight important areas, add numbered step markers, and place emoji stickers. - Choose custom colors, stroke widths, fonts, bold or italic text, and text outlines. - Blur or pixelate selected areas before sharing. - Adjust a crop before applying it, resize the image, zoom and pan, and undo or redo edits. - Reuse your preferred annotation colors and text styles in new captures. **Export and share** - Save as PNG, JPG, WebP, or PDF, with separate JPG and WebP quality controls. - Export at the original size, a percentage, or a maximum width. - Add optional padding, borders, rounded corners, browser-style frames, and URL or date stamps to exported files. - Copy the edited image to your clipboard. Export formatting applies to downloaded files, not clipboard copies. - Customize filenames, choose a Downloads subfolder, or enable automatic downloads. - Use smart PDF page breaks and optional experimental clickable links. **Built-in Visual Inspector** - Pick page elements to inspect their CSS, computed styles, and box model. - Explore page colors and font styles, and check text contrast against WCAG AA/AAA thresholds. - Copy a selected element's HTML and CSS for reference. **Optional local capture history** History is off by default. Enable it to keep your latest 5, 10, or 20 original captures on your device. Reopen an original to start editing again, or download several captures at once. Saved originals remain separate from your exported edits. **Private by design** No account, subscription, watermark, analytics, or tracking. Screenshots are processed locally and are not uploaded to a server. Available in English, Spanish, French, Japanese, and Korean. Works on regular web pages. Chrome restricts capture on browser system pages, the Chrome Web Store, and its built-in PDF viewer. Very large, endless, or complex pages may reach capture limits or produce partial results. ## FAQ (support page / landing page) **Is this extension free?** Yes. All current features are free to use, with no subscription, account, or watermark. Technical capture and export limits still apply. **Can I move or resize an annotation after placing it?** Yes. Use Select to choose an annotation, then drag it or use its resize handles. Lines and arrows have endpoint handles, and text can be edited and restyled. You can also move and resize the crop selection before applying it. Undo and redo let you reverse committed edits. **Does it work on every website?** It works on regular web pages. Chrome blocks capture of browser system pages such as `chrome://settings`, the Chrome Web Store, and PDFs in its built-in viewer. These are browser restrictions. Local pages opened with `file://` need optional file access and Chrome's **Allow access to file URLs** switch; the extension explains the steps. **Can it capture long pages, scrolling panels, and embedded frames?** Full Page scrolls the main page and attempts to load content below the fold. Independently scrolling panels appear as displayed in a standard full-page capture; use **Choose scrolling panel** to capture a selected panel's hidden vertical content, or **Capture iframe…** for an embedded document. Very long captures may be split into multiple images, and endless pages are capped. Scrolling panel capture is limited to 80 tiles, 64 million pixels, and a maximum width of 16,000 pixels. Only rendered content can be captured, so virtualized lists and hidden horizontal columns may be incomplete. Partial captures carry visible warnings. **Are screenshots uploaded anywhere?** No. Capturing, editing, exporting, and optional history storage happen locally in your browser. The extension does not upload screenshots or page content to a server. See the privacy policy for details. **How long are screenshots stored?** Captures opened in the editor are retained locally for up to 24 hours so the editor can be refreshed. If you enable local capture history, your latest 5, 10, or 20 original captures are stored separately until removed by the history limit or deleted. Turning history off clears saved history. Saved originals do not include your annotation edits. **Can I customize image and PDF exports?** Yes. Choose PNG, JPG, WebP, or PDF; adjust JPG/WebP quality; change export dimensions; and add optional presentation formatting. You can also customize filenames, a Downloads subfolder, automatic downloads, and the Save As prompt. WebP supports up to 16,383 pixels per side, so larger exports need resizing or another format. Smart PDF page breaks try to avoid cutting through text. Clickable PDF links are experimental and depend on available capture metadata; cropping or resizing the editable image disables those links. Clipboard copies omit export formatting, and very large clipboard images are reduced by default for easier pasting. That automatic reduction can be disabled in Settings. **What does the Visual Inspector include?** Pick an element to inspect its CSS and box model, explore commonly used text/background colors and font styles, check text contrast, and copy its HTML and CSS. Page scans return up to 24 colors and 16 font combinations. Open the Inspector from the extension popup or the page's right-click menu. **Why does Chrome ask for permissions?** The extension uses permissions to capture the tab you choose, run its page-selection tools and Inspector, save settings and local captures, and download or copy your exports. The side panel and context menu permissions support the Visual Inspector. Iframe capture may request optional access to all sites so it can inspect and capture embedded frames. That access is removed after capture unless you enable **Keep iframe access between captures**. Local files require separate optional access and Chrome's file-URL switch. You can decline optional access and continue using the other capture modes. See the privacy policy for the full permission breakdown.
