Predict your fuel cost before you hit the road with this extension for Google Maps™.

Fuel Cost calculates the cost of gas per trip based on your vehicle and local gas price. Select your vehicle in the settings page and let Fuel Cost do the rest! (Currently in Open Beta. Calculations are only for the starting zip code average fuel cost. It doesn't do the correct math. It though I could drive from Maryland to North Dakota on 30 gallons of gas. LOL! Great little visual app, IF the calculations did 2 things 1. averaged cost of fuel along map route 2. did the correct math!

calculations were off by 200 to 300% for our trips. And it way overestimated the mileage of my old car.
