)Overview
Free, local-first meeting transcripts with clean exports for notes, workflows, and AI tools.
FreeScribe turns accessible captions from Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, and Zoom into local meeting transcripts after you explicitly allow capture. On Google Meet, it can also capture accessible chat. Review saved meetings and export TXT, Markdown, or JSON without creating an account or sending data to a FreeScribe server. Meeting records stay in an encrypted local vault that unlocks automatically in your Chrome profile. Exported files are unencrypted. Optional HTTPS webhooks send a transcript only to an endpoint you connect and approve. Use clean exports for meeting notes, action items, follow-up emails, study material, interview reviews, GitHub drafts, automations, or processing in the AI tool you choose. FreeScribe does not send transcripts to an AI service automatically. FreeScribe does not capture audio or video. It relies on accessible captions displayed by the supported web meeting platform.
