Overview

Desktop alerts for new client messages and approaching order deadlines on freelance marketplaces.

Freelance work runs on response time. Reply in ten minutes and you keep the job; reply in ten hours and the client has already hired someone else. But nobody can stare at a marketplace tab all day. Freelance Inbox Alerts watches the tab for you. WHAT IT DOES - New message alerts — the second your unread count goes up, you get a desktop notification. Click it and your inbox opens, focused and ready. - Delivery deadline warnings — set how many hours of notice you want and get told before an order comes due. Late delivery costs more rating than anything else on these platforms. - Toolbar badge — your unread count sits on the extension icon, so a glance tells you where you stand. - Reply-time tracking — measures how long messages actually waited before you cleared them, and shows a daily average and a seven-day trend. This is the number the platforms rank you on, so it is worth watching. - Quiet hours — set working hours and days, or have the extension go silent whenever your machine is idle or locked. It should not wake you at 3am. - Health panel — shows whether the unread badge is being detected, when the last check ran, and how many alerts fired today. If things go quiet, you can tell the difference between a calm inbox and a broken setup. SITES Fiverr works out of the box. Upwork and Freelancer are optional: tick them in Settings and Chrome asks for permission at that moment. If you only use Fiverr, the extension never touches the others. PRIVACY The extension makes no network requests. None. There is no server, no analytics, and no third party involved. It reads exactly two things from the pages you enable: the number on the unread badge, and due dates shown on your orders page. It never reads message contents, client names, prices, or account details. What it stores is counts and timings — alerts fired, how long unread messages sat, minutes you were active — kept in local browser storage on your own machine. Export it as CSV or JSON any time, or delete it with one button. IF ALERTS GO QUIET Every marketplace lays out its inbox badge differently, and they change their markup without warning. Open Settings → Health and check what "Unread selector" says. If it has not matched, inspect the badge on the site and paste a CSS selector under Advanced. There is also a page-title fallback that works on most layouts without any setup. OPEN SOURCE The whole thing is a handful of small files with no build step and no bundled dependencies. Read it before you trust it.
