Free High Quality Ad Blocker

Block ads and trackers, hide distractions, and control site exceptions. All features free. Settings stay on your device.

Free High Quality Ad Blocker blocks advertising and tracking requests, hides unwanted page elements, and gives you control over exceptions. Every feature is free. There is no account, subscription, paid tier, or developer telemetry. CHOOSE WHAT TO BLOCK Use the toolbar to pause a website or all blocking. Keep permanent website exceptions, pause an exact page, or make a temporary exception. Use the element picker to hide an unwanted part of a page and remove saved rules whenever you want. FILTER LISTS AND PAGE CONTROLS Choose from bundled ad, tracking, regional, and optional annoyance lists. Add custom HTTPS subscriptions, update network and cosmetic lists, or write your own supported filters. Page-script instructions are limited to the exact presets shipped in this extension; new instructions require an extension update. Optional controls can hide cookie banners, floating videos, newsletters, and surveys; limit autoplay and notification prompts; or replace eligible ad spaces with original illustrations or your own images. Hiding a cookie banner does not accept or reject cookies. YOUTUBE IS YOUR CHOICE YouTube blocking is on by default. The Block on YouTube setting turns it off when you prefer. Turning it off pauses all filtering on YouTube, including tracking protection and embedded YouTube players. Other websites stay protected. Reload open pages after changing this setting. Ad delivery changes, so blocking every ad or every video format is not guaranteed. LOCAL TOOLS FOR YOUR SETTINGS Choose separate toolbar and settings themes, select from 34 display-language variants, and back up or restore your configuration. Optional local statistics show blocking activity over time. Advanced controls include custom filters, an optional DevTools request inspector, and local diagnostic downloads. These tools do not send reports automatically. HOW YOUR DATA IS USED The extension processes website addresses, page content, and request information in your browser to filter content, apply exceptions, and show local counts. Settings and aggregate counts stay in local browser storage. Site/domain statistics and detailed request inspection are optional. Better Extensions does not receive your browsing activity, page content, settings, or images. Filter-list updates make ordinary HTTPS requests to the providers you select, who receive your network address and the requested list address. Your browsing history is not included. You can turn automatic updates off. If you insert your own images into websites, those websites can read the inserted images; choose non-sensitive pictures. Backups may contain your saved websites, rules, and images, so keep them private. GOOD TO KNOW This extension requires Chrome 123 or newer. Browser-protected pages cannot be filtered. Filtering can miss ads or affect useful page features; pause the affected website and reload when needed. Other blockers operate independently. Optional Acceptable Ads exception lists are off by default, and we receive no payment for allowing advertising. Made by Better Extensions. Donations are optional and never unlock features.
