Overview

Open web videos in an independent window with rotation, zoom, fullscreen, keyboard seeking, volume, and speed controls.

Keep the webpage, ads, and surrounding layout as they are while opening only the video view in a focused independent window. A portrait video that looks tiny inside a landscape webpage player can use a portrait monitor properly, while landscape video fits a landscape display. FrameRoam Focus finds an HTML5 video in the active tab and mirrors its rendered video into a separate player while preserving the original page session and playback state. It does not alter the site or block ads; it simply moves the video viewing area to the monitor you choose. When a site player lacks portrait-monitor fullscreen or useful keyboard controls, supported videos still gain the independent player's consistent rotation, zoom, seeking, volume, and playback-speed controls. Key features • Focused video window separated from webpage ads and sidebars • Large, aspect-correct viewing for landscape and portrait monitor orientations • Fewer viewing restrictions when a site player lacks portrait fullscreen or keyboard controls • Independent player that keeps the original tab and streaming session intact • Resizable windows and fullscreen on the monitor you choose • 90-degree rotation, 50%–200% zoom, and one-key view reset • Seek 5 seconds with Arrow keys, 10 seconds with Ctrl+Arrow, or 30 seconds with Ctrl+Shift+Arrow • Adjust volume in 5% steps with Arrow Up and Arrow Down • Adjust playback speed from 0.25× to 2× with Shift+, and Shift+.; return to 1× with Shift+0 • Fullscreen controls that hide during playback and reveal only the controls needed • Minimum permissions and execution only after a user action in the active tab How to use 1. Start a video on a web page. 2. Select the FrameRoam Focus icon in the Chrome toolbar. 3. Choose “Open player” and move the independent window to any monitor. Privacy and performance The extension does not transmit or store videos, URLs, login data, or viewing history. It contains no ads, analytics, remote code, or background service worker. It runs packaged code only in the active tab after you select the extension. Compatibility FrameRoam Focus is intended for standard HTML5 video. It does not bypass DRM or browser protections. Protected media may fall back to Chrome's native Picture-in-Picture mode, where rotation, zoom, and custom fullscreen controls are unavailable. Chrome internal pages and the Chrome Web Store cannot be accessed by extensions.
