Overview

Record your screen, a window or a tab with your mic. Unlimited, no watermark, no account. Nothing is uploaded – videos stay local.

Framekeep records your screen, a single window or one browser tab, with your microphone and the tab or system sound. Record as many videos as you like, as long as you like, with no watermark and no account. Nothing is uploaded. Framekeep has no server, no account, no analytics and no remote code, and it makes no network requests of its own. Your recordings are saved in your browser's own storage on your computer while you record, and they stay there until you download or delete them. What you can do • Record the whole screen, one window or one tab – the browser's own picker asks which • Add your microphone, the tab's sound, or both (system sound where your operating system allows it) • Get a 3-2-1 countdown, then pause, resume and stop from the toolbar button or the recorder tab • See the recording time on the toolbar badge while you work in other tabs • Watch every recording in the browser, rename it, download it as a WebM video, or delete it • See how much space your recordings use No limits There is no cap on the number of recordings or their length, and nothing is stamped on your video. The only limit is the free space on your disk. Built not to lose your take Each second of video is written to disk as it is recorded, so a long recording is never held in memory. If the recorder tab is closed or crashes, Framekeep saves everything up to that second the next time you open it. Files you can use anywhere Recordings are WebM files with the length written in, so they play in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and VLC, and upload as they are to YouTube and Google Drive. Permissions, and why • storage – remembers your choices (screen, window or tab; microphone; tab audio) and shows the recording state in the toolbar • unlimitedStorage – lets long recordings use more than the browser's default share of your disk, and stops the browser from clearing them when space runs low Framekeep cannot read or change the websites you visit. It has no access to any site, no content scripts, and it never sees your screen until you pick what to share in the browser's own dialog.
