Frameforge never silently captures a tab, window, or screen. Flexible audio capture Build the audio mix you need before recording: - System audio captures sound from the selected surface when Chrome makes it available - Microphone audio captures your voice from the default microphone - System audio and microphone together lets you narrate a demo while preserving the source audio - Video-only recording is available when you disable both audio sources Audio capture begins only after you approve it through Chrome's permission and sharing controls. You can cancel the native picker without starting a recording. Frameforge checks the capabilities of the installed browser before enabling format choices: - WEBM is the most broadly compatible option and is the default - MP4 is available when the browser exposes a compatible MP4 MediaRecorder encoder - AV1 is available when the browser exposes AV1 recording support - MKV is shown only when the browser exposes a compatible Matroska encoder Browser encoding support varies by Chrome version, operating system, and available codecs. Unsupported formats are visibly disabled instead of being mislabeled or silently renamed. When available, recordings are downloaded locally with a timestamped filename. Enable system audio and/or microphone audio as needed. 5. Select an available output format. 6. Choose the surface in Chrome's native sharing dialog. 7. Click Start recording. 8. Click Stop recording when finished. 9. Your recording downloads locally to your device.
