Stop the stutter. FrameBoost makes web video glide. Most videos are 24, 30 or 60 frames per second, but your monitor refreshes 120, 144 or even 240 times per second. The result is judder: panning shots and fast motion look choppy. FrameBoost fixes that by creating the missing in-between frames in real time, so every refresh of your display shows a new frame. HOW IT WORKS • Optical flow on your GPU (WebGPU) estimates how every part of the picture moves between two frames. • New frames are generated in between and shown at your display's refresh rate: 24 → 240 fps, 30 → 144 fps, 60 → 120 fps… • Scene cuts, frame edges and occlusions are detected to avoid artifacts. FEATURES • Compare mode (free): original on the left, interpolated on the right, on any video you watch. See the difference before you decide. • Full mode: smooth playback on the whole video. Unlock it once per device from the popup. • Live stats: source fps → output fps, GPU time, resolution. • Works on YouTube and most sites that use the standard HTML5 video player. • Keyboard shortcut: Alt+Shift+F to toggle. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Everything runs locally on your graphics card. No video is uploaded, re-encoded or recorded. • No accounts, no tracking, no analytics. REQUIREMENTS • Chrome, Brave, Edge or another Chromium browser (version 121+) with hardware acceleration enabled. • A display faster than the video (e.g. 120/144/240 Hz) to see the benefit. LIMITATIONS • DRM-protected streaming services (Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video…) cannot be processed: the browser does not allow extensions to read their frames. • Some sites serve video in a way that blocks GPU access; FrameBoost turns itself off there.
