Overview

Let Effi complete requested tasks in its own Chrome tab groups.

Connect Chrome to Effi and let your AI teammate work on websites for tasks you request in chat. Effi Browser Use opens a dedicated tab group for each task and uses the website accounts already signed in to your Chrome profile. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Ask Effi to open websites, read pages, follow links and work with supported forms. • See the tabs Effi is working in and take over when needed. • Pause, resume, stop or show a task from the extension toolbar. • Set website restrictions and confirmation preferences in Effi. Your workspace administrator can also restrict browser use. YOU STAY IN CONTROL Actions such as payments, destructive or security changes, and sends or submissions require review in Effi. Password entry, MFA, payment details and unsupported controls require you to act manually. Stop ends browser control; it cannot undo an action already submitted to a website. SETUP An Effi account and an enabled workspace are required. After installation, open User Settings → Browser Use in Effi, check the installation and connect this browser. Keep Chrome running and remain signed in to Effi. The extension works with the production Effi service at app.heyeffi.com. Access to Effi is provided separately; installing this extension does not create an Effi account or subscription. DATA AND PERMISSIONS To carry out your requested tasks, the extension sends task-page URLs, text, controls and screenshots to Effi, where they can be included in your chat and processed by your workspace's configured AI model. Content depends on the websites used and may include personal or confidential information. Known secret fields are excluded from interaction and masked in screenshots, but masking cannot guarantee that every sensitive item displayed on a page is removed. The extension uses Chrome's debugger permission to inspect and interact with task pages. Chrome grants this permission broadly; the extension enforces access through its task groups and Effi's configured website restrictions. Task tabs share the cookies and site storage of your Chrome profile.
