Hisss

A nostalgic Snake game that lives in your toolbar.

Hisss is the Snake you remember from old phones, tucked into a Chrome toolbar popup. Click the icon, press Start or Space, and steer a single pixel around a 20 x 20 green LCD board. Every dot you eat adds 10 points and one more segment, and the snake speeds up a little each time. Cross the edge and you reappear on the other side. Run into your own tail and it is game over. Fill the whole board and you win. Features - Arrow keys or WASD to steer, Space or P to pause - Score and best score shown above the board - Click away mid-game and your snake waits, paused, for when you come back - Crisp square pixels, subtle grid, monospace type - Works completely offline - No accounts, no adverts, no analytics, no data leaves your browser Hisss only asks for the "storage" permission, used to remember your best score and your current game on this device.
