Tellscreen: draw while you record
Overview
Draw on any page, spotlight your cursor and clicks while you record, and start a Tellscreen recording for your AI from anywhere.
Show it on screen, and make sure everyone sees exactly what you mean. Tellscreen for Chrome puts a pen, highlighter, arrow and box over any page while you record your screen, with a spotlight that follows your cursor and a ripple on every click. Drawings fade after a few seconds, so you can keep talking, or stay until you clear them. Made for recording with Tellscreen (tellscreen.com), it works with any screen recorder or meeting screen share. What it does • Draw on any page: pen, highlighter, arrow and box, in five colours. • Spotlight your cursor and every click, so viewers can follow where you point. • Hold Alt (Option on a Mac) and drag to draw without opening the tools; Alt+Shift+D turns drawing on and off, Esc stops, Alt+Shift+C clears. • Record for your AI: Ctrl+Shift+9 (Command+Shift+9 on a Mac) opens Tellscreen from any app. Talk through what should change, press Stop, and Tellscreen writes a numbered change list with a screenshot of each moment, ready to paste into Claude Code, Codex or Cursor. Private by design The extension only acts on the tab you are looking at, and only when you turn it on. It does not read, collect or send the content of any page. Your pen, colour and spotlight choices are kept in Chrome on your computer. Recordings are made on tellscreen.com: free for 25 videos and 5 change lists a month, or Pro for $8 a month.
