Overview

Offline transmission of text URLs and arbitrary files via screen QR code stream.

Fountain Code Offline Transfer is a localized browser file and text sharing tool. After installing the extension, you can convert the current webpage, selected text, links, or local files into QR codes or continuous QR code streams. Other devices simply need to open the receiving webpage and scan the computer screen with their camera to receive the content. Suitable for scenarios where there is no network, Bluetooth is unavailable, a data cable cannot be used, cloud storage cannot be accessed, or it is inconvenient to send files using chat software. Main functions: One-click sharing of the current webpage URL; Right-click to send selected text; Right-click to send links, image addresses, audio addresses, and video addresses; Supports selecting or dragging any type of file; Short text and URLs use regular QR codes; Files and long text use continuous QR code streams for transmission; The receiving end scans the webpage with its camera; SHA-256 verification is performed after file reception; All processing is completed in the local browser. How to use: Install the extension in Chrome on your computer. Click the extension icon or right-click to select the content to share. If sending a file, select the file on the sending page or drag and drop the file directly. On another device, open the receiving webpage and grant camera access. Point the camera at the computer screen and wait for the reception to complete. Once received, you can copy text, open links, or download files. Suitable scenarios: Temporary file transfer between computer and mobile phone; Transferring small files in environments without network access; Office environments where Bluetooth, data cables, or cloud storage are disabled; Sending text and URLs to a mobile phone, tablet, or another computer; Transferring configuration files, documents, images, compressed files, etc. Notes: Transfer speed will be affected by screen brightness, camera quality, focus distance, QR code size, and browser performance. Larger files may take longer; it is recommended to use this feature for small to medium-sized files first.
