Why these permissions? - "Read your browsing history" — We never read or store your history. This permission (tabs) only lets ForReading know which tab to read aloud when you press play. It doesn't track where you've been. - "Read and modify data on api.readingisforyou.com" — Required to authenticate your Cloud Pro account and fetch premium voices. No data is shared with third parties. - "Read and modify data on 127.0.0.1" — Only used if you run a local TTS engine (Kokoro, CosyVoice, Piper). All traffic stays on your own machine. If you don't use local voices, this permission does nothing. - "Inject scripts into web pages" (scripting + activeTab) — Needed to show the floating TTS player and highlight text as it reads.
