Overview

Fill any web form instantly. Profiles, smart field detection, realistic test data, per-site rules, encryption and one-click undo.

FormPilot fills web forms for you — properly. Not just the name-and-email boxes, but dropdowns, date pickers, radio groups, checkboxes, multi-step checkouts and the custom components modern sites are built out of. Press Alt+Shift+F and the form is done. ━━ WHY IT WORKS WHERE OTHERS DON'T ━━ Most form fillers match on the field's "name" attribute and give up when a site minifies it to "x1". FormPilot scores every field against a vocabulary of ~90 kinds of information using eleven signals: the autocomplete attribute, the visible label, ARIA labels, placeholder, name, id, framework test attributes, the title, the text sitting just before the box, the enclosing legend, and a dropdown's own options. When it isn't confident, it leaves the field alone instead of filling it with nonsense. It writes values the way a real user's keyboard would, so React, Vue, Angular and Svelte forms keep the value instead of snapping back to empty — a place where most autofill tools quietly fail. ━━ WHAT IT HANDLES ━━ • Text, email, tel, url, number, password, search • Date, datetime-local, month, week, time • Color, range sliders • Checkboxes, radio groups, single and multi-select dropdowns • Textareas, contenteditable and rich-text editors • ARIA comboboxes and listboxes — react-select, MUI, Headless UI • Fields inside open shadow DOM and same-origin iframes Dropdowns are resolved intelligently: your profile says "California" and the select wants "CA", it works it out. "United States" into a list of ISO codes, "3" into "March" — all handled. ━━ FEATURES ━━ PROFILES — Keep as many identities as you like. Personal, work, a QA persona. Switch from the toolbar, the right-click menu, or pin one to a specific site. TEST DATA FOR QA — Generate realistic, internally consistent personas: the email matches the name, the ZIP matches the city, the card passes Luhn, the expiry is in the future. Six locales. Set a seed and every run produces identical values, so it works inside a regression suite. FIELD INSPECTOR — See exactly what FormPilot thinks each field is, and how confident it is. Disagree? Pick the right meaning from a dropdown and it remembers that choice for the site, forever. PER-SITE RULES — Auto-fill on load, ask first, or never. Disable FormPilot entirely on sites where you don't want it. SAVE A FORM — Already filled a long form by hand? One click reads it back into your profile so you never type it again. UNDO — Alt+Shift+Z puts everything back exactly as it was. ENCRYPTION — Passwords, card numbers, PINs, IBANs and tax IDs can be encrypted at rest with AES-GCM-256 behind a passphrase only you know. Locked, FormPilot skips those fields rather than filling blanks. BACKUP — Export and import everything as JSON, with or without sensitive fields. ━━ PRIVACY ━━ FormPilot makes no network requests. None. There is no server, no account, no analytics, no telemetry, no ads. Your data is written to Chrome's local extension storage on your device and stays there. Uninstalling removes it. The full privacy policy is linked below. ━━ SHORTCUTS ━━ Alt+Shift+F — fill with the active profile Alt+Shift+R — fill with realistic test data Alt+Shift+Z — undo the last fill Alt+Shift+I — toggle the field inspector Alt+Shift+P — open FormPilot Also: the floating button on any page with a form (double-click to fill, Shift-click for test data, drag it wherever you like), and the right-click menu. ━━ NOTES ━━ • Cross-origin iframes can't be reached by any extension; FormPilot tells you when a page has one. • File inputs are detected but never filled — Chrome does not permit it. • "Submit after filling" is off by default, because it really does submit. • For real credentials on sites that matter, Chrome's own password manager is the safer store.
