Form Rescue
Overview
With your permission, saves text you type in online forms on this device so you can recover it after a refresh or error.
Recover text lost from online forms with Form Rescue. Enable Form Rescue on a website you choose, and it saves supported text fields locally in your Chrome profile. After a refresh or page error, select a saved draft to restore text into empty fields. Features: • Save text drafts on websites you enable. • Choose individual drafts with dates and previews. • Keep recovery copies when saved text is manually cleared. • Restore only empty fields without submitting the form. • Search, copy and delete saved drafts. • Set automatic expiry from 1 to 30 days. • Turn saving on or off for each website. Privacy: No account, cloud uploads, analytics or tracking. Drafts stay in your Chrome profile and are stored without encryption. Form Rescue attempts to skip sensitive fields and pauses saving on detected password or payment forms. Detection can miss fields, so avoid enabling it on sensitive websites or shared computers. Limitations: Recovery is not guaranteed. Rich text editors, forms inside iframes, file uploads, dropdowns and checkboxes are not supported. Text that has not yet been saved may be lost. Storage limits and automatic cleanup apply.
