ForgetMeNot is a fast, private notepad that lives right in your browser. Click the toolbar icon and a notes panel opens on the current tab — jot something down, keep it pinned where you're working, and get back to it later. No sign-in, no account, no cloud. Your notes never leave your device. WHY FORGETMENOT • Private by default — everything is stored locally on your computer. Zero tracking, zero telemetry, zero network requests. • Pinned to your tab — the panel stays open on the page you're working on and won't vanish when you click elsewhere. Minimise it to a small pill and drag it anywhere. • Fast capture — a quick-add button, instant search, and color-coded categories (General, Work, Personal, Idea, To-Read) keep things tidy. • Mark done — tick off notes you've handled; done notes get a clean strikethrough. • Insights — a lightweight dashboard shows totals, per-category breakdown, and your last-7-days activity. • Light, dark & system themes. • Backup & move — export all your notes to a JSON file and import them on another machine.
