ForgeBridge: convert on download

Every .3mf you download gets converted for your Flashforge printer a few seconds later, right next to the original.

Download a .3mf from MakerWorld, Printables or anywhere else, the way you always do. A few seconds later the converted file is sitting next to the original, ready to open as a project in OrcaSlicer or Flash Studio. ForgeBridge takes a Bambu Studio project and gives you the same project for a Flashforge printer: the designer's layer height, infill, walls, supports, painted colors and per-part settings stay; the machine-specific parts (speeds, accelerations, start G-code, Bambu hardware) are replaced by the official Flashforge profile. Supported: Adventurer 5M, 5M Pro, AD5X, Creator 5 and Creator 5 Pro. What the extension does - Watches your downloads. When a .3mf finishes, it reads that file and sends it to forgebridge.app, the same converter as the website, with the printer you chose. - Saves the converted file next to the original, named model_AD5X.3mf. - Optionally saves the conversion report next to it: a single HTML file listing every notice and every setting that changed. What it never does - It does not touch the pages you browse. It has no access to MakerWorld, Printables or any other site, and asks for none. - It reads one file: the .3mf that just finished downloading. Chrome tells it which file that is. It never looks around your folders. - Nothing is kept. Your file is converted in memory on our server and deleted right after. - The original stays where it was. One thing to switch on after installing: Chrome only lets an extension read a downloaded file if you allow "Allow access to file URLs" on the extension's details page.
