Forge Shield blocks adult websites and gambling sites in your browser. That part is ordinary. Plenty of extensions do it, and all of them can be removed in about thirty seconds. So Shield does the other thing. You name one person you trust. They get a short summary once a week: how many blocked sites were reached for, and the site names. They are also told if Shield is removed, or if it goes quiet. The block is what slows you down in the moment. The report is what actually holds. WHAT YOUR PARTNER SEES - Site names and counts, once a week - A message if the extension is uninstalled or stops reporting in WHAT THEY NEVER SEE - What you searched for - What was on any page - Anything about sites that were not blocked Forge does not collect that. There is nothing to leak, and nothing to subpoena. Your partner is also emailed the day you add them, so nobody is ever watching you without knowing it. WHEN SOMETHING IS BLOCKED You get a plain page instead of the site, with a three-minute urge timer. If you decide to continue anyway, you can, after fifteen seconds, and it is reported separately. An exit that is slow and honest keeps people inside the system on the day they lose. An exit that does not exist just gets the whole extension uninstalled. Chrome will not let an extension grant itself that. - Someone determined can disable it. They cannot do it quietly.
