Forex News Impact adds a ✦ "impact" column to the ForexFactory economic calendar. Click the ✦ icon on any event and the extension opens your chosen AI chat — Gemini (default), Claude, or ChatGPT — pre-filled with an analysis prompt for that event and your selected asset, using your own logged-in session. No API key is required. The chat's first-line verdict (UP / DOWN / NEUTRAL) is read back and tints the icon green / red / grey, and hovering the icon shows the captured response. You choose the analyzed asset (Spot Gold by default, plus major FX pairs); results are cached per asset locally in your browser. The ✦ verdict is an AI read of the likely immediate reaction — a quick triage aid, not trading advice. Privacy: no backend, no analytics, no API keys, and no remote code. Settings and captured verdicts are stored only in your browser's local extension storage. On first open the extension makes a single request to Cloudflare to look up your connection's country code, used only to decide whether to show a one-time welcome message; the country code is not stored and never sent to the developer.
