Overview

Check your public IP, detect WebRTC leaks, and verify your online privacy at a glance.

Know your IP. Catch the leaks. LeakHalo shows the public IP address your browser really connects from, where in the world it appears to be, and whether WebRTC could reveal more than you think. A country flag lives in Chrome's toolbar, so you always know where you appear to be. WHAT YOU GET • Public IPv4 and IPv6 side by side, with country, city and network (ISP and ASN) • A live country flag in the toolbar (or a flag with a country code, or the plain LeakHalo icon) • Split flag: when IPv4 and IPv6 leave from different countries, often a VPN that covers only one of them, the toolbar flag splits in two • Instant change alerts: a desktop notification with your new IP and country within seconds of a change, even with the popup closed • WebRTC Armor: applies Chrome's WebRTC IP-handling policy (strict mode blocks non-proxied UDP) and shows whether it is in force • Optional switch to turn off Chrome's network prediction • Connection type when available (Residential, Datacenter or Mobile) • One-click copy of your IP address • A welcome page on first install that shows your connection and guides you through pinning LeakHalo STABLE AND HONEST • IPv4 is checked from two independent vantage points at once, so the IP and country you see stay steady even when your network routes some sites differently. An optional warning tells you when that happens. • IP geolocation is approximate, and LeakHalo says so. If one location service fails, the next one answers. PRIVACY • No account, no analytics, no ads • Results and settings are stored only in your browser • To find your IP, LeakHalo contacts the HTTPS IP and location services listed in the privacy policy, which see your IP address as any website does • Instant change detection uses a small connection to LeakHalo's own server, which only sees your public IP and keeps no logs. You can turn it off in Settings. LeakHalo is not a VPN: it does not route or encrypt your traffic. It shows what your connection reveals, which makes it a good companion to a VPN or proxy.
