Overview

Set one font for a single http(s) site. Overrides !important and inline font-family. Code and common icon fonts stay unchanged.

Font For This Site sets the font family on one website you turn on. Sites you have not turned on keep their own fonts. Open an http or https page, click the extension icon, and pick a font or type a family name and press Enter. The font is applied right away. Chrome asks for access to that site the first time. If you deny the prompt, the page stays unchanged and no rule is turned on. You can also set the text size (50–200%) and the line spacing for the same site. A rule belongs to one origin: the scheme, the host, and the port. The secure and plain versions of a site, or two ports on the same host, are separate rules. The rule is stored on this device and comes back after a reload and after Chrome restarts. It is not copied to other devices. Only the font family changes, plus text size and line spacing when you set them. The extension wins over page styles marked !important and over inline font settings. Turn the site off or reset it, and the page gets its original styles back. What stays as it was: • Code blocks and common icon fonts keep their look. • SVG and math formulas are not touched. • Weight, style, letter spacing, and color are not changed. Icon detection uses a fixed built-in list, so a rare icon font can still change. The rule also reaches open shadow roots and same-origin frames on the page. Closed shadow roots are not opened. A frame from another site changes only when you turn that site on too. The popup suggests fonts installed on this computer; the list is used only for the suggestions. You can type a single family or a fallback stack of up to 16 names. The extension does not download or install fonts and does not change Chrome's own font settings. If a typed font is not available, the browser uses its usual fallback. Pages that are not http or https, PDF documents, and the Chrome Web Store cannot be changed. The popup says so and does not save a rule there. The All sites page lists every saved site. From there you can change the font, size, or spacing, turn a site off, or delete it. Reset site deletes the rule, restores the page, and gives back the site access when no other enabled rule needs it. Chrome grants access per host, covering all its ports, but the font is applied only to the exact origins you turned on. There is no account, no analytics, and no remote code. The interface is in English and Russian, with light and dark themes. Each saved rule (site, font name, optional size and spacing, on or off, time of last change) stays in Chrome's local storage on this device. Page content is not stored and is not sent anywhere. Requires Chrome 119 or newer.
