Overview
Save notes with their source pages. Find them with search, tags, colors, and domain filters. Browser sync when enabled.
NotePin keeps useful information connected to the web page where you found it. Highlight text on a supported page and choose "Save to NotePin" from the right-click menu to open a prefilled note. When you save it, NotePin automatically attaches the source URL, domain, and available page title. You can also start a note for the current page, capture a link, or enter a URL manually from the board. Why NotePin: Stop losing track of useful information in separate apps. Use the popup for quick capture or enable Current Site to focus on notes for the site you are viewing; NotePin remembers that filter for later sessions. Open the fullscreen board for searching, sorting, editing, import, export, and bulk management. If you enable the optional in-page sticky panel, matching notes can appear directly on supported pages. Core features: • Capture and source linking: Prefill a note from selected text, the current page, or a link while keeping the relevant source details. • In-page stickies: Enable a movable, collapsible panel for a whole site or one exact URL. The feature is disabled by default. • Visual organization: Use eight colors, custom color labels, tags, and pinning. Pinned notes stay at the top. • Search and filters: Search note text, URLs, domains, page titles, or tags. Filter by current site in the popup or by domain, tag, and multiple colors on the board. • Popup and fullscreen board: Choose from several sort orders, select visible entries, apply bulk actions, and clean up duplicates. • Drafts and editing: The popup saves unfinished note text locally and restores it when reopened. Edit text, source URL, and color directly on a note card. • Sync: When browser sync is enabled, notes can sync between devices using the same signed-in browser account. • Import and export: Export to JSON, Markdown, or CSV. JSON import can merge data or replace all saved content; a replacement can be undone. • URL privacy controls: Remove query strings or URL fragments from newly saved or edited URLs. • Themes and shortcuts: Choose light, dark, or system appearance. Configure commands for opening NotePin or saving selected text, and press Ctrl+Enter—or Command+Enter on macOS—to save while editing. Privacy: No NotePin account is required. The extension has no ads and does not transmit analytics data. Saved content is not sent to a NotePin server. Content is stored through browser storage and, when enabled, the browser's sync service. Optional persistent website access for the sticky panel is requested only when you enable that feature. Add NotePin to your browser and keep useful information connected to the pages that matter.
