Read local TXT, WeRead or Fanqie content in an independent tab.

FolioVeil displays your own reading content in an independent desktop browser tab with a ChatGPT-style interface. It supports local TXT files and accessible reading pages on WeRead and Fanqie. It does not provide AI chat or send reading text to ChatGPT. Features: TXT chapter navigation, encoding selection and local resume positions; website reading in a separate tab; fetching subsequent content; local appearance and image controls; temporary hiding of reading content. The “Share” button opens local controls and does not publish anything. Start with a TXT file from the extension popup, or open an authorized chapter on a supported website and select the independent reader. Keep the source tab available. Users must supply their own files, accounts and reading access. FolioVeil does not supply books or bypass sign-in, payment or preview limits. Reading content is processed locally; preferences, resume metadata and limited diagnostics stay in the browser. Website sources still contact their original websites and image servers. Hiding content does not hide source tabs, browsing history or network records. Desktop Chromium browsers only. Website changes may affect reading.
