Overview

One-click send any article to your Kindle as a clean, distraction-free e-book. Works behind paywalls you're logged into.

Folio turns the web into a calm reading list on your Kindle. One click — or Cmd+L / Ctrl+L — sends the current article from your browser straight to your Kindle as a beautifully typeset e-book. No ads, no popups, no cookie banners. Just the writing. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT IT DOES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Send any article to your Kindle in seconds • Captures the page from inside your browser session — so paywalled articles you've already paid for go through • Choose how you want to read it: now (single article), as a daily digest, or as a weekly digest • Clean typography — Newsreader serif at a comfortable reading size, ragged-right, generous margins • Keyboard shortcut for the impatient: Cmd+L (Mac) / Ctrl+L (Windows/Linux) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ HOW IT WORKS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 1. Install the extension and create a free Folio account 2. Add your Kindle email address (the one ending in @kindle.com) in the Folio settings 3. Approve Folio as a "send-to-Kindle" address in your Amazon account (one-time, 30 seconds) 4. Browse the web normally. When you find something worth reading later, click the Folio button or press Cmd+L That's it. The article arrives on your Kindle, looking like it was meant for that screen all along. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHY FOLIO ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Most "send-to-Kindle" tools fetch the URL from a server and fail behind paywalls — even ones you legitimately subscribe to. Folio captures the page from inside your browser session, so The New York Times, The Atlantic, Stratechery, and other paid publications you read just work. We also care about the reading experience. Folio strips ads, navigation chrome, sidebars, and tracking — but preserves footnotes, images, and editorial typography. The result reads like a book chapter, not a printed-out webpage. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRIVACY ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ We capture only the article you choose to send. The extension never reads other tabs, never tracks your browsing, never sells data. The HTML of the page you send goes to folio.today (our server) to be cleaned and converted to e-book format, then delivered to Amazon's send-to-Kindle service. We don't share it with anyone else. You can export or delete everything any time from your settings. Full privacy policy: https://folio.today/privacy ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRICING ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Free: 5 articles per month, single-article send • Pro ($5/mo or $36/yr): unlimited articles, daily + weekly digests, RSS-to-Kindle, custom typography • Lifetime ($69 once): everything in Pro, forever Cancel any time. 7-day refund, no questions. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WORKS WITH ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Any Kindle device or Kindle app that supports send-to-Kindle (basically all of them made in the last decade). Built for Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Arc, Brave, Edge, Opera). Safari and Firefox versions coming. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Questions? team@folio.today
