Block distracting websites, set important daily reminders, and stay focused with Foku
Foku is a Chrome extension designed to help you stay focused and productive while browsing. It combines distraction blocking, smart tab reminders, tab limits, and scheduled workflows so you can manage your online work without losing track of important pages. Foku brings multiple productivity tools together in one place. You can block distracting websites, set reminders for tabs, schedule important pages to open automatically, and limit the number of tabs you keep open. The goal is simple: help you reduce distractions and stay on top of important tasks throughout the day. Focus Mode allows you to block distracting websites with a single click. When Focus Mode is enabled, any website in your custom block list will be blocked automatically. You can manage your block list in Settings by adding sites you want to avoid. If you try to open a blocked site, Foku shows a clean blocker page that encourages you to complete your critical tasks before unlocking the page. This helps you stay accountable and avoid mindless browsing. Boomerang lets you set reminders for tabs so you can return to them later without keeping them open. When you create a Boomerang, the tab closes immediately and automatically reopens at the time you choose. You can use quick presets such as 1 minute, 5 minutes, 15 minutes, 30 minutes, or 1 hour, or select a specific date and time. Multiple Boomerangs can be active at once, and you will receive a notification when a tab returns. Important Daily Tasks help you remember the pages you need to visit regularly. You can mark any page as important using the right-click menu. These pages can be scheduled to open automatically at specific times each day or as one-time reminders. This is useful for recurring tasks such as standups, reports, dashboards, or daily check-ins. All important tasks can be viewed and managed directly from the extension popup. The Tab Limiter feature helps you control tab overload. You can set a maximum number of tabs allowed in your browser. If you try to open more tabs than your limit, the new tab will be blocked. The extension popup shows your current tab count and the maximum limit so you can easily see how close you are to your limit. Foku also offers optional account and premium features. Creating an account allows you to manage your settings and upgrade if you want access to advanced functionality. The core features such as Focus Mode, Boomerang, Important Tasks, and Tab Limiter work without an account. Premium users unlock additional capabilities designed for power users. Cloud sync allows your settings, tasks, Boomerangs, block lists, tab bundles, and other configurations to stay synchronized across multiple devices when you are signed in. Premium also introduces domain-specific tab limits. Instead of setting one global limit, you can set different limits for specific websites. For example, you could allow only one tab for YouTube but twenty tabs for a research domain. When you exceed a domain limit, the tab shows a blur overlay with options to close the tab or continue anyway. Immortal Tabs are another premium feature. These allow you to protect important tabs from being closed accidentally. Once a tab is marked as immortal, it cannot be closed or navigated away from until you remove the protection. This is useful for important work pages that you always want to keep open. Tab Bundles allow you to group related websites together and open them instantly. For example, you could create a Morning Routine bundle that opens Gmail, Calendar, and your project dashboard with one click. Bundles can also be scheduled to open automatically based on your workflow. Scheduling options include daily schedules, weekdays only, weekly schedules, or even the last day of the month. Foku integrates with the browser context menu to make common actions faster. You can mark the current page as an important daily task, create a one-time reminder, mark a tab as immortal, or launch one of your saved tab bundles directly from the page. The extension settings give you full control over how everything works. You can enable or disable the Tab Limiter, manage Focus Mode settings, edit your blocked websites list, configure domain limits, manage immortal tabs, create tab bundles, and control scheduling options. Account and cloud sync settings are also available from the settings page. Foku uses browser permissions responsibly. Storage is used to save your settings, tasks, reminders, and other data. Alarms are used to trigger Boomerang tabs and scheduled tasks. Tabs permission allows the extension to manage and block tabs when necessary. Context menus enable the right-click actions for marking tasks and launching bundles. Notifications are used to inform you when a Boomerang tab returns. Foku is built for students, remote workers, developers, and anyone who wants to reduce distractions while working online. It provides a simple way to stay focused, remember important pages, and keep your browser organized. Focus, remember, and limit your tabs, all in one extension.
