Overview
Captures FoE city, inventory, and building data during normal play and sends it to FoE Workshop. Desktop Chrome only.
FoE DataHarvester automatically captures your Forge of Empires city data — buildings, inventory, and layout — and sends it to FoE Workshop for analysis. Get city scoring, gap analysis, swap recommendations, and rankings without any manual data entry. Just play normally and your reports update automatically. ### What's new in version: 1.6.0 (2026-09-05) - **Automatic building-catalog delta-sync** — the extension diffs its locally captured building catalog against `GET /api/buildings/known_ids` on the server and uploads only the ids the server doesn't have yet, in batches of 400 (under the server's 500-per-call abuse guard). Previously this only ran when the popup's sync button was clicked by hand; now `content.js` fires it itself once 20+ genuinely new buildings have accumulated locally, gated by a 15-minute cooldown so a large burst (e.g. a Forge Hammer bulk catalog download adding hundreds of buildings in seconds) triggers one sync, not dozens. The sync logic itself only ever uploads what the server is missing, so an automatic trigger firing "too often" has no real cost beyond a no-op round trip. - **Manual sync button** (backfilled from 2026-08-28, previously undocumented/unshipped) — "Sync New Buildings to Server" in the popup, next to Export Buildings. Same underlying sync path as the automatic trigger; shows live progress and reports how many buildings were added/rejected. - **Catalog-manifest capture** (backfilled from 2026-08-28, exploratory/diagnostic) — passively captures FoE's own one-shot bootstrap building-list manifest (`metadata?id=...` requests) for visibility into what it contains; not yet wired into any upload path. - No new permissions required. - - - - - FoE DataHarvester works silently in the background while you play Forge of Empires normally. It intercepts your city, building, and inventory data as the game loads it and sends it to FoE Workshop — a hosted toolset that turns your raw game data into actionable reports.
