FocusProof Beta
Overview
Connects FocusProof to Chrome to record website domains during active study sessions on your Mac.
FocusProof Beta connects Google Chrome to the FocusProof macOS study tracker. When a FocusProof study session is active and browser tracking is enabled, the extension reads the active tab URL, immediately reduces it to the website domain, such as example.com, and sends that domain to the FocusProof app on the same Mac through Chrome native messaging. This helps users review how their attention was distributed during a study session. The extension popup shows whether FocusProof is Ready, Recording, Paused, or unable to connect. Privacy: • No FocusProof account or login is required. • No advertisements or analytics. • Full URLs, URL paths, query strings, searches, page titles, page contents, typed text, screenshots, clipboard data, local files, and Incognito activity are not collected. • Website-domain activity is processed locally and is not transmitted by the extension to an external server or third party. Requirements: • macOS • FocusProof Beta 1 installed in the Applications folder • Google Chrome • Browser tracking enabled in FocusProof This is an unlisted beta release. Features and availability may change during testing.
