FocusGuard: AI distraction blocker
Overview
AI anti-procrastination: redirects off-task tabs back to your task.
FocusGuard blocks the websites that have nothing to do with what you need to do. You describe your task in the FocusGuard app ("Revise probability for my exam", "Code my portfolio"…), you start a session, and the extension redirects any unrelated tab to a block page: social media, videos, shopping… A lesson on YouTube gets through, a cat video doesn't. • The AI runs 100% on your computer: page addresses and titles never leave your machine. • Nothing is blocked outside your sessions. • Your allowlist and blocklist apply instantly. • Unstoppable mode: a session that can't be stopped before the end. • During a session you started, the extensions management page is locked until the session ends: that's intentional, so FocusGuard can't be turned off on a whim. Outside sessions, it's accessible as usual. ⚠️ The extension needs the FocusGuard app (free, Windows and Linux): https://www.focusguardapp.com/en/download
