FocusFense Website Blocker works with the FocusFense desktop app to apply the user's selected website, search-query, channel and page-text rules in the browser. The extension can also hide selected page elements such as images or YouTube recommendations. Configure rules and protection in FocusFense. The extension reads page URLs and visible page text locally to evaluate those rules. When the FocusFense app is running, the extension sends the current website host and time interval, and the URL and matched rule for a blocked page, to the app on the same computer. These local events support usage limits, blocking and the app's activity history. The extension does not send page text to FocusFense's cloud service. Protection rules can be cached by the extension for use when the app is not running.
