FocusBold - Faster Web Reading
Overview
Bold the start of each word on articles so reading feels faster. Local toggle — no endless loading spinner.
FocusBold is a local bold-prefix reading overlay that turns on when you click Enable — no endless loading screen, no remote license check, no account. Open an article, enable FocusBold, and each word gets a bold start so your eyes can move faster. Change strength, optionally keep it always on for a site you choose, and turn it off anytime to restore the original page. Forms, editors, and code blocks are skipped so typing stays safe. What you get - Instant local toggle — the overlay applies in your browser; the core path does not wait on a remote server - Always-on per site when you want it - Strength control; keyboard shortcut Alt+Shift+F - Free — no ads, no account, no “Pro” tease in v1 How to try it 1. Open an article (e.g. a Wikipedia page) 2. Click FocusBold → Enable 3. Adjust strength if you like 4. Optional: Always on this site 5. Disable anytime to restore the page Permissions are used only to read page text in your tab, bold prefixes locally, and remember strength / site preferences on your device. Nothing is uploaded. Not affiliated with any trademarked “bionic reading” product.
