Focus Vault: PC Link is the computer side of Focus Vault, the screen-time app for Android. Pair it with your phone once, and every focus session you start on the phone also locks your distracting websites in this browser until the session ends. HOW IT WORKS • Open the extension and scan its QR code with your phone's camera. Focus Vault opens and pairs. • Start a focus session on your phone. The websites of the apps you block there — YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Reddit, X and more — are walled off here within seconds, including tabs you already had open. • When the session ends, or you abort it, they open again. A pause on the phone pauses the lock here too. • Your phone shows PC LOCKED once this browser has applied the lock. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Your phone and this extension make their own encryption keys when they pair. Every message between them is end-to-end encrypted and passes through our relay, which cannot read it. • No account, no sign-in, no analytics, no ads. • The extension has no content scripts and reads no web page. It is only shown a tab's address when that tab is on one of the listed sites, to send it to the block page, and it never stores or sends that address. • Unpair on the phone or in the extension and the pairing is deleted from the relay at once. WHAT IT NEEDS Focus Vault for Android, free on Google Play, version 1.2 or later. Works in Chrome and in Chromium-based browsers such as Brave. Focus Vault is a self-discipline tool, not a parental control: you can switch it off whenever you choose.
