Focus Method Lab
Overview
Choose a study or work method, follow its timed phases, rate it, and learn what works best for you.
Focus Method Lab helps you find a focus routine that actually works for you — not just start another timer. Choose whether you're studying or working, enter what you want to accomplish, then select a structured focus method. Focus Method Lab guides you through each timed phase, reminds you when it's time to switch, and lets you rate the method when you're finished. Over time, your Method Report helps you see which routines you complete most often and which ones you rate highest. Kaizen Sprint An original timed workflow inspired by the Kaizen principle of small, continuous improvements. Ikigai Focus An original timed workflow that begins by reconnecting your session to its purpose before deeper focus periods. Shoshin Cycle An original timed workflow inspired by the idea of approaching a subject with a beginner's mind. Nemawashi Prep An original timed workflow emphasizing preparation and context before focused execution. Kaizen, Ikigai, Shoshin, and Nemawashi are broader concepts rather than standardized historical timer methods. The timed sequences included in Focus Method Lab are original workflows inspired by those concepts. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Focus Method Lab does not require an account and does not use analytics, advertising, cloud sync, or external APIs. Your preferences, session history, ratings, and notes are stored locally in Chrome on your device. Whether you're preparing for an exam, writing a report, coding, reading, handling deep work, or simply trying to stay focused, Focus Method Lab gives you several ways to structure the time — and helps you learn which one works best for you.
