Focus Guard
Overview
Interrupts visits to sites you've flagged as distracting with a warning page before letting you through.
Focus Guard is a quiet accountability partner for your browser. It's built on a simple idea: the sites that distract us most are usually just one click away, and sometimes all we need is a short pause to remember why we meant to do something else. Add any websites you choose — or just part of one — to your distraction list, and Focus Guard will step in before it loads. Instead of the page you were about to open, you'll see a calm "pause" screen with a short reminder to stay focused, along with a rotating verse on the theme of diligence, work, and perseverance. It's a moment to reconsider, not a wall you can't get past — you can always continue to the site if you decide to. At its heart, Focus Guard is meant to help you become a more faithful human: someone who follows through on what they set out to do, protects their attention on purpose, and treats their time as something worth stewarding well — not someone who gets quietly pulled off course a dozen times a day by the same familiar tabs. WHAT IT DOES - Blocks by domain or by path. Add "facebook.com" to pause the whole site, or narrow it to just "reddit.com/r/funny" and leave the rest of Reddit alone. - Shows a rotating NKJV verse. Every time the pause page appears, you'll see a different verse on diligence, focus, or working with purpose — never the same reminder twice in a row. - Remembers your decision for the session. Continue to a site once, and Focus Guard won't interrupt you again on that tab until you close it. Open a brand new tab yourself, though, and it'll check again. - Warns you from the toolbar. If the site you're currently on is on your distraction list, the Focus Guard icon shows a small badge — open the popup and it'll tell you plainly: "This website is on your distraction list. Consider closing it." - Quick add and remove, from anywhere. Add the site you're on straight from the toolbar popup, remove it from the popup or right from the pause page itself, or manage your whole list from the settings page.
