Focus Anchor — ADHD Task Bar
Overview
One task always visible on top of every page. External working memory for ADHD. No notifications, no gamification, no tags.
Keep your current task visible at the top of every browser tab. The internet is designed to capture your attention: endless feeds and personalized ads are everywhere. Even though it’s normal to get distracted, keeping a single task in focus is still the best way forward. But it’s hard — especially if you have ADHD or struggle with executive function or working memory. With Focus Anchor, your current task stays visible until it’s done. You don’t have to rely on memory: get distracted, look up, come back. It’s simple to use: Write a task — or a full to-do list Your current task stays visible on screen in any tab Finish it, cross it off, and the next task appears From the author: This extension was made by someone with ADHD, for people with ADHD. But it can help anyone who works, studies, researches, writes, or builds things in the browser — and sometimes opens a few tabs only to forget what they were doing. I built Focus Anchor for myself and noticed something unexpected: this simple task bar did not just help me stay focused on the current task. It also made it easier to start the next one. When the task is always visible, it is easier to return to it, finish it faster, get less tired, and get a better result. And that momentum makes the next task feel easier too. Privacy Focus Anchor works locally. It is a serverless browser extension. All tasks and notes are stored only on your device. Privacy by design.
