My YT Subscriptions
Overview
Quickly view and search your YouTube subscriptions.
YouTube doesn’t show every subscription in the left sidebar, and the “All subscriptions” page can be sluggish if you follow lots of channels. This extension puts all your subscriptions in a simple overlay right on the page, so you can search and open any channel in seconds. Click the toolbar icon on any YouTube page to open the overlay. Press Esc, click the X, or click outside the panel to close it. WHAT IT DOES Search as you type — filter your whole subscription list by channel name, then click a channel to open it in a new tab. Star the channels you actually watch — starred channels move into their own Starred section at the top of the overlay, so the handful you open every day are the first thing you see. Click the star again to send a channel back to All channels. Alphabetical everywhere — both sections are ordered by name: numbers first, then letters, then other scripts. Accents and capitalisation don’t split names apart, and “Episode 2” sorts before “Episode 10”. Opens instantly — your channel list is saved in your browser after the first load, so the overlay opens without waiting on a network request. Hit the refresh icon in the top right to pull in channels you’ve subscribed to or unsubscribed from since. Back up your starred list — export your starred channels to a JSON file and import it on another computer. Importing merges with what’s already there, so it never removes a star. Works with any keyboard — the search box handles Chinese, Japanese and Korean input correctly, and the overlay stays out of the way of YouTube’s own shortcuts while you type. PRIVACY The extension reads your subscriptions page while you’re signed in to YouTube, and that’s all it does. Nothing is sent anywhere: your starred channels and the cached channel list are stored in your own browser. No account sign-in, no analytics, no tracking. It only runs on youtube.com. WHAT’S NEW IN 1.2 - Starred channels, in their own section at the top, with JSON export and import - The channel list is cached, so the overlay opens instantly, plus a refresh button to update it on demand - Both sections are now sorted alphabetically - Fixed a bug where typing Chinese in the search box could close the overlay - Smoother scrolling with long subscription lists Not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
