Overview

Family Guard parental-control browser bridge for web, YouTube and adult-content policy decisions.

Family Guard Content Guard is the browser component of the Family Guard parental-control system. On a Windows device protected by Family Guard it passes the current web/YouTube context through a local Native Messaging bridge to the Family Guard service, where the household's configured content rules are evaluated. The extension can show a Family Guard block/monitor result and lets a child request parental access when a rule supports an exception. It requires the Family Guard Windows application and is intended to be installed and managed by the parent/administrator. Passive monitoring and blocking events deliberately omit the full URL and page title. The full URL and page title can be sent to the household's configured Organizer only when the child explicitly requests parental access. The extension contains no advertising or third-party tracking and browsing data is not sold.
