Design Residue

Reveal the typography, spacing, repetition, alignment and visual outliers hidden in the current page.

Design Residue is an on-demand visual-system inspection layer for the page you are already viewing. Activate it from the toolbar or with Alt+Shift+D to sample the page locally and reveal patterns that are difficult to see from individual CSS declarations. The Specimen view summarizes repeated typography roles, surface and text colors, spacing values, radius usage, repeated structures, and common vertical alignments. X-ray mode draws the underlying layout boxes. Alignment mode exposes repeated edge positions. Outliers mode highlights visible elements whose spacing or corner radius falls outside the page's dominant local patterns. Repeated-structure rows can be selected to highlight matching instances directly on the page. The extension runs only after a user gesture and does not continuously inspect websites. Analysis is performed entirely in the current tab. Design Residue does not store the sampled DOM/style data, transmit it, use analytics, capture screenshots, or request persistent host permissions.
